SILENT TIGER was formed in 2018 by guitarist Jean Funes and drummer Joel Mejia from Honduras and joined by American singer David Cagle to complete the band and their desire to make melodic hard rock music with influences from DEF LEPPARD, VAN HALEN, BON JOVI, DOKKEN and SCORPIONS with a modern touch. The debut album titled “Ready for Attack” was released in 2020 and they now return with the sophomore effort “Twist of Fate” (November 24, 2023) entering a new chapter for the band and seeking to take these new songs to a bigger and broader audience. Coming from the Honduras metal scene that is heavy into the thrash and black genre, the band decided to go more “International” way of melodic, classic rock. If the music is anywhere near as aesthetic as the album cover artwork of a blood thirsty tiger lunging to attack we’re all in for a magical rock and roll ride.

“Shadows of Life” opens the album as promised with a melodic playful tempo bolstered by a pleasant mixture of ethereal guitar and alluring vocals delivered with a charming flair and energy. “Face the Night” continues the pace set by the first two tracks with a nicely balanced quantity of classic rock riffs paired with crisp, ardent vocals and precise harmonizing. A more impassioned “Wings of a Dream” brings a warm frolicking melody with velvety hooks surrounded by the atmospheric allure of the backing keyboards and the eloquent vocals delivering a hypnotic, blissful escape. “Another Destination” is powered by beautiful harmonies and infectious riff all balanced, but not overpowered by the captivating vocal layering that helps create an exhaustively crafted melodic song. Ending on the power ballad “Remember Who You Are” casts a magical spell of inner reflection and self-worth.
