Neurosis - Live At Roadburn 2007 album cover

First of all I'd like to say that I never tried to hide my opinion on live albums. I was never amazed by such releases, especially when the bands releasing them were performing awesome live shows and all you could get was an audio version of them. That's exactly what's happening with NEUROSIS' "Live At Roadburn 2007". You have a band delivering "hypnotic" (in a good sense) live shows with visual stuff etc, at a festival that is probably one of the most honest festivals out there, and you can only hear what went on.

They could at least release a DVD, but on the other hand their last release was a DVD in 2007. Ok, I am not here only to bitch, this live album contains many of our beloved NEUROSIS songs like "Crawl Back In" or "Burn" (I would like to see "Lost" in here, though) with a more than decent sound quality that will definitely please the fans of the band. The fact is that "Live At Roadburn 2007" is only for those, the NEUROSIS fans. I don't think it is a good way for someone who doesn't know the band to get to know it for example. So, if you are a die hard fan then you should definitely lay your hands on this one, the rest of you should probably prefer the "Enemy Of The Sun" re-release that hit the stores earlier this year.
