BLACKOUT PROBLEMS from Munich, Germany will release their third studio album "DARK" tomorrow, January 15th 2021 via Sony Music/Munich Warehouse. In celebration of that and to connect with their fans around the globe, the band decided to launch a Digital Release Week with daily streaming events, including two full online concerts, live Q&As and movie screenings.

The band comments: "You know, we know, everybody knows that we can't meet in person right now but what we can do in order to celebrate the release of DARK is to use online platforms to connect with as many of you as possible. It can never replace the real thing and we much rather be in a van and on tour right now but this is how we are going to do it: We'll be streaming throughout the whole week starting on Friday the 15th, we'll be on different platforms with different topics each time. There will be two live sets, Q&As, a full stream of the DARK DAYS Documentary, music videos and much more. Make sure to tune in, get you tickets for the shows (for free!!) and see you all online. With DARK, Blackout Problems have created a work that captures the weltschmerz of a generation and gives a voice to those who are not tired of fixed structures and destructive thinking patterns that have long since been overcome, to fight and stand up for love, respect and social justice.

Dark Pop is the balancing act between clean and distorted, between analogue and digital, between condemning and uniting, which Blackout Problems ' founded in 2012 and consisting of Mario Radetzky (vocals, guitar), Marcus Schwarzbach (bass, vocals), Michael Dreilich (drums) and Moritz Hammrich (guitar, vocals) ' dares to do. A balancing act that seems to bring the tensions of contemporary 'black and white' debates and genre-spanning diversity to its dizzying pinnacle. The Shape of Pop to come?

In an analogy where the band is the home where the members live, they collectively decided in 2014 to grow organically on their own, taking on board the responsibility for their destiny and choosing against overtaxing their own cosmos, despite the possibilities of growth they could have received early on from a major deal.

Under their independently founded label, the band released (besides a handful of singles and EPs) the albums Holy (2016) and KAOS (2018), which entered the official German album charts ' the latter even climbed to position 25. Most recently, they completed a forty-date European tour as support act to Royal Republic, followed by their first own international tour with nine performances in England, France, Holland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland. This led to the band reaching new heights on their own terms, which meant they were in a position to enter a partnership to access more extensive resources by signing with Sony Music label RCA.

DARK will be released on 15th January, 2021 via Sony Music/Munich Warehouse and is ready for pre-order here: https://blackoutproblems.lnk.to/Dark
