Out of the depths of the long Swedish winters,The Mammuthusfirst saw the light of day back in 2014. Five dudes with a common taste in stoner rock music and good melodies, gathered and started growing beards, tusks and creativity together in a dark but welcoming place that would be known as the The Mammuthus cave.

The sound of the group soon sounded over the hills and fields of Trollhättan and after two EP's,KhatangaandThe Herd Is Gathering, the band teamed up with producer Gustav Ydenius and recorded their first full-length albumForever Treein 2019, live in the studio. The album garnered excellent reviews: "solid as hell riff style", "a laser focus for bringing back hard rock but in an artistic way", "rock produced with a live feeling that makes the music more alive, more physical, more passionate and definitely more damn filthy".

Musically, the trademark ofThe Mammuthusis an extremely and impressively seamless blend of styles; doom moments, hard rock sections and blues elements wash over the listener in an even flow. It is riff-based and heavy, yet melodic and soulful.The Mammuthushas been sweating in their furs during the last months, recorded a bunch of new songs, and are now ready to rumble the earth once more with the worldwide release of their forthcoming sophomore album due out in 2021 via Sliptrick Records.
