Sweden/Germany/Finland based Age of Woe draws inspiration from doom metal, death metal, prog and sludge - with their own unique touch and interpretation. With praised performances at festivals like Inferno Metal Festival, Incubate Festival, SWR Barroselas Metalfest, Berlin Swamp Fest, Bloodshed Fest and Scorched Tundra to name a few and several successful tours - Age of Woe is an explosive force on stage. Age of Woe unloads pure audio destruction: not overly calculated, lightning-fast or technical, but reliably menacing and tremendously heavy. With the recent addition of Keijo Niinimaa (Rotten Sound / Morbid Evils / Goatburner) they have expanded their sound further to incapsulate some elements of progressive rock, which stacks well on top of their death metal foundations. The band is currently in the studio putting down the final touches on their new album full of a unique, blood-pumping urgency that has produced something undeniably heavy. The world needs them.
