Politicized, dense lyrics and a sound made for the Wall of Death. In search of creating a challenging material, "Hit Me", debut album by The Melties, from São Paulo (Brazil), appeared. Equal even in band formation, with two women and two men, they talk about politics, religion, anarchy, and also about hope, represented in a baby's heartbeat, on the track that opens the album.

Heavy riffs, strong vocal lines and an energy that explodes every minute. Like a Big Bang, the ten tracks on the album "Hit Me" are born from the desire to create something new, to leave the comfort zone. In the musical influences, the band brought musical influences that go through several rock genres, ranging from Black Sabbath to Alice in Chains, always with a lot of personality.

During the recording of the disc, the drummer got pregnant, but this did not prevent her from continuing to play until 5 months of gestation. After this period, the Melties stopped with the presentations, but continued with the recordings of the debut album. The time outside the stage left the disc more illuminated. The time to develop the songs, gave freedom to the creation without limits. So much so that the first track on the album, "Noise One", begins with the sound of the baby's heartbeat Deni, son of Macci (bassist) with Thizzy (drummer).

"We wanted to pass on a little of this idea of something new, like a beginning, a Big Bang, represented by Deni's heart. Which ended up being very representative, not only for the 'pregnant' part of the band, but for all members. We are a united band and all personal experiences flow into the band's experience. Therefore, the name 'The Melties', "explains Macci.

What consolidates The Melties is precisely the indignation for injustices in society. As a result of the fateful year of 2013, the band emerged as a cry of resistance from the members.

"This kind of indignation, of revolt, of getting a lump in the throat, goes to the songs, even due to their density. Our first EP, Rot Young (2015), is more solar, even more delicate and romantic. The new album brings a new experience, and we have matured. We managed to pass on to the songs what we felt, after all this time ", says Macci.

The Melties is formed by Jana (voice), Thizzy (drums), Jesus (guitar) and Macci (bass). The record's technical file features Danilo Pozzani (recording, mixing and mastering), Bruno Wilk (cover photo), Diego Canhisares (album art) and Osmar Lucas (back cover photo).
