Brisbane post-hardcore four-piece Days Like These just dropped their second single of the year, 'Antidote', and are following it up with a couple of monster local support slots alongside THE BRAVE, STEPSON, SHE CRIES WOLF and DEADLIGHTS to boot!

Brand new single 'Antidote' was recorded and produced by Jimmy Alexander (AWAKEN I AM) and mixed and mastered by Lance Prenc. The track encapsulates the feeling of losing a relationship that was destined to come to an end. Vocalist Callen Batson explains that, "...It was only a matter of time before they would use you up and throw you away, but you never wanted to think about it and never acted on that feeling. But now that it's over, you're thankful and you know you're better for it."

'Antidote' comes paired with a slick new video clip to accompany, shot and edited by Elliott Sauvage (TO OCTAVIA, TO THE GRAVE & FORSAKER). The clip features the band playing through their new tune in a darkened room with bursts of colour punctuating the heavy hitting segments. Callen touches on the direction the band are heading and the prospects for the future in saying that, "instrumentally, this song captures a new sound and a new path we're heading towards. It most certainly isn't our final form, and we can't exactly say where we are headed, all we know right now is that we want to push the boundaries. We hope we can achieve that with "Antidote", but even more in the music that follows."

DAYS LIKE THESE is Callen Batson (vocals), Noah Murphy (drums/vocals), Sebastian Ionita and Russell Hodgeson. The band burst onto the scene in 2018 with the release of their debut EP, State of Growth. Soon after the EP dropped, DAYS LIKE THESE jumped on stage to support Stepson at their sold out all ages Brisbane show in August, they played alongside AWAKEN I AM and PICTURESQUE (USA) at Brisbane's AM//PM in late October and were main support for We Set Signals in November. 2019 kicked off with a brand new single 'The Absolute' that saw the boys reach new audiences in the Brisbane scene and helped to solidify their title as one of Brisbane's hottest rising bands. 'The Absolute' received air time on The Faction and was added to Spotify's 'Homegrown + Heavy' playlist, which boasts a following of nearly 25,000 followers.

DAYS LIKE THESE just recently played support for WINDWAKER alongside TO OCTAVIA, UNI/VS and HOMEFRONT on the Empire EP show at Brisbane's Crowbar. The band will go on to support The Brave at The Brightside in Brisbane on the 'AURA' tour on Saturday August 17 and will also take to the stage alongside SHORELINES, STEPSON, SHE CRIES WOLF, DEADLIGHTS and THE BRAVE on Sunday July 7 at 'The Big Bris 4' - showcasing some of Brisbane's best and heaviest.
