Hotter Than Hell
Big Ball

If Udo was a die-hard fan of AC/DC and formed a band, then probably BIG BALL would be the one. Honestly I believe that this sentence is enough for you to understand what should be expected from this release. BIG BALL could be easily considered to be one of AC/DC's tribute bands, as everything - and I mean everything, from the riffs to the production and vocals - has the legendary Australian band as a reference point. As the band itself declares: "If you thing that AC/DC sucks, you will hate us as well". Mentioning the production, Dennis Ward is the one responsible for the bombastic sound and is also playing the bass guitar for this album. Singular!
Definitely these tunes will drive you crazy by hearing them in a Rock club; real party tunes, with a tougher attitude and a bit of an aggressive sound. Dunno if these guys are trying to fit in AC/DC's shoes, but it won't work. Despite the powerful songs and the production that is astounding, one gets the idea of BIG BALL wanting a fame share and surely is not the only band that does that.
If you are an AC/DC fan, then by no means get it. The rest of you ask yourself the following question: "When was the last time I put an album of AC/DC to listen to at home?".
