Deep into quite melodic soundscapes with brutal vocals and a good perception in song's structures, CELESTIAL IMMUNITY may be not the most impressive band but they are a very pleasant hearing. They are coming from Alexandroupolis, a city in the north side of Greece; they formed in 2006 by George and Mike and one year later brothers Simos and Alex came along. "...Lost In Shades" is their very first recording including five songs and was recorded in February 2009 while we have to say that around that time another guitarist entered, Dimitris. He is not in the lineup of the demo CD, so I guess he was not present in the recordings.

Their influence comes mostly from the north side of Europe and - being more specific - a big percentage belongs to DARK TRANQUILLITY and a lesser one to early IN FLAMES. Although with such names I am having allergic shocks and hemorrhoids symptoms in a very strange way, this time and this band didn't sound cavernous to my ears. Why that? Probably their warm sound or some ROTTING CHRIST things that have put to their songs - I must say that - in general lines are worth noticing.

The opening track "Unification Of Sounds" which is very good has some nice ideas and a ROTTING CHRIST break that I liked a lot. Same goes to the last one "The Dream Fades ...", probably the best one for this demo. It is a very emotional song that ends with a riff loan from Sweden but executing its role perfectly. It was also included into a compilation that the Greek RockHard magazine released, named "Greek Power Vol 1 - The New Wave Of Greek Heavy Metal". The rest three songs reminds a lot of DARK TRANQUILLITY. What also made an impression is some calm parts coming from nowhere; I have "Skin" in my mind although in "Angels Cry" it doesn't seem to match enough with the whole song.

Inside a veil of melancholy, sadness or bitterness, the lyrical and musical road where CELESTIAL IMMUNITY walk, they have soul and their music I think can catch some listeners. They are preparing a full - length which I'm very curious of how would be.
