Full Moon
Seventh Rize

It has been said that this band has been around for almost twenty years and has done something like 200 gigs per year (weird!). For me it is the first time coming across this act from Texas and despite my ignorance, and hearing SEVENTH RIZE for the first time, I have to admit that it is a good band taking elements from early DEEP PURPLE, some PRAYING MANTIS, some LED ZEPPELIN, the filthy sound of early BLACK SABBATH and extreme doses of AC/DC, wrapping it up in a good old sleazy outfit.
"Full Moon" is a good album, with solid melodies in abundance. Clear production, no so sterile though, just what this genre demands. It is a fact that one does not come across with the feeling that has to deal with a garage born band, and somehow that is what SEVENTH RIZE is about, a warm hard rock band passing tough attitude, though the vocals of Stacy Humphries, its lyrics and melodies.
Will SEVENTH RISE be in the top releases of the year? No, but it is an extremely relaxing album, with continuity in melodies and rhythm. Definitely, you should hear this album if you are interested in the kind of music described. Listen to it, but let the music flow, without trying to analyze it too much.
