Melyra, an all-female Heavy Metal band from Rio de Janeiro, will finally release their first record titled Saving You From Reality. The album features the best Metal sound produced by women and showcases the group's achieved maturity. To make this dream come true, Melyra has launched a crowdfunding campaign that aims to raise the necessary funds to make physical copies of the album and other promotional items and will reward fans who support the project.

According to the members, the goal is to raise at least 5.000 Reais. "We are an independent band and we invested heavily on the recording process. Now, we rely on the support of our fans to release the CD through digital platforms, Catarse for brazilian fans and GoGetFunding for our international fans. The campaign, which will last until September 29, offers several options of prizes for those who would like to join the project. "Whoever wants to follow the collecting process can do so by accessing the campaign's website, which is super transparent," they explain.

Maturity and musical essence mark the new studio effort:

Saving You From Reality took two years to be finished and features 10 tracks which are even more solid and inspired than those on the Catch Me If You Can EP, released in 2014. The new studio effort showcases a more mature version of the band without abandoning their musical essence. The first single, Dead Light, was an instant success among fans by the time of its release. "The crowd helped promoting the song on social media and spread the word setting expectation for the album release. We've worked hard and won't disappoint you", they believe. Melyra's Bio:

Melyra is a Heavy Metal band formed in 2012 in Rio de Janeiro whose main characteristic is the all-female line up. Having played memorable gigs on the stages of Saloon 79 and Rio Rock & Blues, the group was the opening act for several rising bands such as Nervosa. In 2013, with a busy concert schedule, Melyra hit the stages of Petróplis, Angra dos Reis, Volta Redonda, Itaboraí and also played many shows in the state's capital city of Rio de Janeiro. In the following year, the band entered the studio to record their 6-track EP, titled Catch Me If You Can, which had its release party held at Rock Experience (Rio Rock & Blues by the time). After releasing the Run & Burn single in 2015, the band recorded a version of Living And Drifting for a Edu Falaschi tribute album. Since 2016, Melyra has undergone an evolution process which resulted in their new studio effort, Saving You From Reality.
