Droids Attack - Must Destroy album cover

If you feel comfortable to throw yourselves in mud or drink beer (etc) through pipes, the brand new album of DROIDS ATTACK is the one will fit you perfect for the first days of 2010. Heavy, 'dirty' and most of all, stoner, is just so right for all of you who searching and searching for something fresh, between the musical dark paths of CAPTAIN BEYOND's and CLUTCH's glorious past; so, all the footprints lead you around the desert and robotic land of DROIDS ATTACK.

You didn't get it, did you? DROIDS ATTACK (with the heavy mark of BLACK SABBATH in their guitar riffs- hallelujah!) is another one stoner trio from America and has all the ingredients of muddy tunes that could easily blow your ears out! Brad Van on guitar and vox, Tony Brungraber on drums and Nate Bush on bass give us catchy and rhythm blazing melodies with a spicy addition of groovy and bluesy sounds. The military and futuristic art work shows the record's teeth from the very beginning and all 9 compositions are carrying the band's id that can't leave you indifferent.

"The Unforgiven 4" that opens "Must Destroy" reminds us the style of SABBATH era and paves the way suitably for the continuity. Through its 38 minutes, "Blueshammer" and "Astro Glider" have the primacy by the first listening, whereas the self- titled "Must Destroy" and "Canadian Death Bus" spread underground stoner riffs and thick melodic lines, familiar to BONGZILLA's ones, having mostly a jamming, TOOL-esque mode. Concluding, "Must Destroy" is a rhythm and digestible album for fans of stoner genre and not only; for all those who need something bassy, sunny and up tempo in their collection that made them see the glass half-full.

CLUTCH, THE MELVINS, THE SWORD, DROIDS ATTACK: another band that seems to engage us in the nearby future. If the present is "Must Destroy", the future will be brilliant- minded their recent past of raw "All Your Chicks Are Belong To Us" and "Fatal/Error". Just sit, relax and wait. Till then, this one will be the perfect appetizer while waiting for their main menu.
