DODECAHEDRON are announcing the immediate replacement of amicably parting vocalist M. Eikenaar by GGU:LL frontman W. Van Der Voort.
DODECAHEDRON comment: "Sometimes a situation compels one to advance to new horizons; change is inevitable. We are bound to announce the departure of our lead vocalist M. Eikenaar, which means that we are introducing a new interpreter of our black arts, a lead vocalist that will carry out our message with newborn fury: W. Van Der Voort, best known for his work as frontman of doom sludge band GGU:LL. He is excited to deliver the spark that ignites the new flame in the twelve-sided empire. M. Eikenaar will continue his work as lyricist and artwork developer for DODECAHEDRON; his images and words have become a quintessential part of the bands' expression and will remain in place."

There is a universe of possibilities to explore musical darkness. Yet metal seems to have a tendency for endlessly riding stereotypical riff-horses until they are flogged to death and beyond the point of any meaningful resurrection. This Dutch League of Extraordinary Musicians is harnessing the power of seething black chaos into a precisely aimed sonic assault. Expanding on the pioneering works of MAYHEM in their 'Ordo Ad Chao' (2007) phase and French trailblazers DEATHSPELL OMEGA, DODECAHEDRON push this stream of extreme consciousness forward into even more spine-chilling dimensions.
Their sophomore full-length 'kwintessens' arrives with intensified focus. Those atonal and dissonant monstrosities created by ultimate technical mastery and spawned on the self-titled debut album 'Dodecahedron' (2012) are now directing their explosive fury with even more precision straight to the point. The balance between aggression and suspended states of icy shock has been re-calibrated.
