Marco Mendoza is currently in Denmark recording his long awaited new soloalbum "Viva La Rock" with producer and guitar player Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes/Mike Tramp). The new album is the first solo album in eight years from Mendoza since "Casa Mendoza" released in 2010 on Mascot Records.

"Viva La Rock" is a tour de force of 10 soulful hard rocking songs inspired by Mendozas roots from the Seventies up 'til the bands he has been involved with in recent years, including Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Ted Nugent and currently The Dead Daisies.

Mexican/American-born Mendoza is mostly known for his bass playing, but on "Viva La Rock" he will underline how gifted a singer he is and has always been. Like fellow bass-man Glenn Hughes, the voice of Mendoza has only grown stronger with age.

While in Denmark, Mendoza signed a multiple world wide record deal with the leading Scandinavian rock/metal label Mighty Music.
