PSYCHEDELIC WITCHCRAFT will release their brand new album entitled Sound of the Wind on November 3, 2017, via Listenable Records.

Reminiscent of the obscure side of the Italian music scene long ago led by Goblin and the world of haunting soundscapes of Ennio Morricone, Florence's PSYCHEDELIC WITCHCRAFT formed in 2015. Led by Italian singer Virginia Monti as a the main songwriter, the band has been honing their instruments in the style of the ancient gods of doom and blues such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, Free among others, musically mixing blues/classic hard rock with an in depth occult lyrical imagery.

Recorded at Elfo recording studio in Italy and mastered by Brian Lucey (GHOST), Sound of the Wind is PSYCHEDELIC WITCHCRAFT's strongest material in terms of production and songwriting. Its obscure yet wide appeal is bound to convince quite a few doom rock specialists and metal rock aficionados to come over to their dark side.

PSYCHEDELIC WITCHCRAFT will head to the UK to perform at Damnation Festival, on November 4, alongside the likes of Bloodbath, Paradise Lost and Warning.

PSYCHEDELIC WITCHCRAFT 's, Virginia Monti, has put together a track by track commentary of Sound of the Wind below.

Maat
Maat is the ancient concept of truth and order, harmony and justice; Maat was considered responsible for both human and divine actions. This track introduces us to the album, creating a magical atmosphere. It represents disorder becoming order and harmony.

Lords Of The War
Lords Of The War speaks about the sin of war on earth. It represent the common human being that suddenly finds himself in the middle of the conflict. He won't surrender, he will fight the lords of the war in the name of freedom.

Wild We Go
This track is a deep call to our true nature: we should let ourselves go towards our true nature and desires. It is intimate advice not to deny ourselves what we really love. It's all about wearing no mask and being free.
Reach for our inner selves.

Sound Of The Wind
Sound Of The Wind is inspired by two factors. The first, is our love for Jefferson Airplane and the psychedelic White Rabbit vibe.
The second, the air element. Sound is the manifestation of the air element; it is invisible but its reality can be felt in the air that we breathe everyday. As with The Stars tarot card that is associated with the air element, the Sound Of The Wind expresses intelligence and inner creativity.

Turn Me On
This one is pretty much inspired by the psychedelic '70s rock era. It expresses our love and dedication to artists such as Jimi Hendrix and The Faces. It's very energic, it's a track to go on full rampage with!

Rising On The Edge
Rising On The Edge is a very personal song. It was written in a bad period, a period where a big change was needed and most of all, where I needed to go back to myself. That's what the story is about, life and struggle - it's about rising from the grave.

The Warrens
This one is all about the historic couple of supernatural seekers - Edward and Lorraine Warren, who inspired the Conjuring movie series and the film Annabelle. The Warrens are among the most famous supernatural investigators. The story of the Warrens is so fascinating and there has always been the desire to make a song about that.

Sin Of Mine
This one is basically about sex, seen in a pretty upbeat and bluesy way. It also speaks about the physical addiction you can get from a person, still in a funny and positive way.

Let Me Be Myself
Let Me Be Myself has a universal meaning, even though it comes from deep personal experiences. It's about feeling imprisoned in a relationship or situation that constantly tries to change us. At the end of day, we won't ever change our true nature.

Horizons
The last track of the album is about freedom and liberation from everything that oppresses us.
It also represents us as a band moving forward to the next part of our story. Every note in this track stands for a warm goodbye from this chapter of Psychedelic Witchcraft.
