If I were a Guitarist and I had: 6 great solo albums, played in Alice Cooper's Hey Stupid album (1991), taken part in a Deep Purple Tribute together with other great artists, played with Vicious Rumors in Soldiers of the Night (1985) and done numerous other things like a soundtrack for a video game of Sega, a Pepsi TV commercial and two instructional Videos...then my name would probably be Vinnie Moore!

Need I write anything more about an artist most of you surely know?

There are a lot of good guitar players around the world (never doubt that) but I consider Mr Moore to be among great names like Satriani and Steve Vai. That's for two reasons. First is because of his great tribute to music over the past 20 years and the second reason is because he simply...takes you away with his playing! He can play anything!

For example, on his seventh solo project, there's Last Road Home which has this Spanish, acoustic touch and Alexander the Great (nothing to do with Iron Maiden of course) which is a superb metal, instrumental song!

Defying Gravity can express you in many ways. There are times when you wanna relax, there are times when you feel joyfull or want something 'strong'.

Vinnie Moore's latest album is of course instrumental and I think that's the only weak point! Did I say 'weak point'? Weak point for those who can't do without vocals and probably don't appreciate a great guitarist like Vinnie Moore. Are there any people who think that way? Maybe just a few...
