ABSOLVA: Release free song & confirm tour dates
July 1, 2016
British metal band Absolva have released a brand new song called 'Harsh Reality', available for streaming & free download now at https://soundcloud.com/rocksector/absolva-harsh-reality
This is the first new music from the band since they released their incredibly well-received 3rd studio album 'Never A Good Day To Die' on 12th October 2015.
The new song, as with all Absolva albums so far, was recorded at Axis Studios (Doncaster) with producer Matt Elliss, and is one of Absolva's heavier tracks. The song features the following band members....
Chris Appleton (Blaze Bayley / Fury UK) : lead vocals & lead guitar
Luke Appleton (Iced Earth / Fury UK) : rhythm guitar & backing vocals
Martin McNee (Blaze Bayley / Fury UK) : drums
Karl Schramm (Blaze Bayley) : bass & backing vocals
'Harsh Reality' showcases an amazing groove laid down by the rhythm section of McNee/Schramm, together with the highly impressive trademark guitar work and distinctive vocals of the Appleton brothers, plus stunning digital artwork from Cadiesart.com
Whilst Luke Appleton can normally be found as bassist with Iced Earth, brother Chris is co-writer and lead guitarist with ex-Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley and, together with fellow members Martin McNee and Karl Schramm, has been touring extensively around Europe to promote Blaze's latest album 'Infinite Entanglement' to excellent critical acclaim.
The work with Blaze Bayley continues but meanwhile Absolva have found time to turn attention to their own mission. Chris Appleton explains..
'These next shows could be the last chance to see much of Absolva for many months and perhaps even the next year or two. We toured our last album before going into the studio with Blaze and since then have played around 70 shows with Blaze and that rate of work is not likely to stop. At the same time it seems Luke's schedule with Iced Earth will kickstart again. So, as we're unable to make an Absolva album this year we wanted to put this new song out for our fans and we're absolutely stoked about these shows which we'll hit with maximum Absolva force before we again go into the studio with Blaze to record the 2nd album in his trilogy'.
