Few bands are as capable of generating headlines in the rock world than Guns N' Roses. Whether it's the motor-mouth exploits of their controversial singer W. Axl Rose, or even their latest excursions into the world of online gaming, it seems that these sleaze rockers are incapable of doing anything without a large of amount of press interest.

So in case you've only just managed to extricate yourself from the sonic confusion that was Chinese Democracy, here's a catch up on all of the latest news from the Guns N'Roses camp.

The most surprising story was the announcement that the 'classic' line-up of Guns N' Roses would be reuniting for a celebratory tour that aims to relive the excess of their Use Your Illusion tour that celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.

Despite fears about the band's notorious reputation for arriving late and upsetting the audience, their initial show in Coachella managed to gain rave reviews for the timeless appeal of the songs and the celebratory spirit that has seen the band outlasting the passing trends in the metal world.

However, it's the fact that W. Axl Rose has temporarily replaced Brian Johnson in AC/DC that's provided the most surreal twist to the year so far. Due to Johnson's chronic hearing loss, we've seen the unlikely sight of Axl Rose performing with Angus Young and the star has only just left Dave Grohl's singing throne as a result of a broken foot.

And by the time Guns N' Roses convene for their summer tour, the expectations are that it will deliver a masterclass in timeless rock'n'roll. Already, there's been some high-profile support slots lined up, and if the band manage to not split up, it's hoped that they could eventually head into the studio to record an album with the classic line-up.

The band have released some unlikely products in recent times including a one-off Guns N' Roses slot machine game at Mr Smith Casino, and with one guy making $40000 on their Rainbow Riches slots game, it shows that it's not just the music that the band can reward their fans with.

In addition to this is the fascinating announcement that there will be a Duff McKagan documentary coming to a cinema screens this summer. Based upon his harrowing memoir, It's So Easy and Other Lies promises to deliver yet more outlandish tales of rock'n'roll drug excess from this much-loved bass icon.

And given that many other glam rockers are coming out of the woodwork, it looks like it's not just at the slot machines that we can expect the return of some very familiar faces!
