Stockton, CA's blackened melodic death metal merchants,Symbolik, have partnered with the folks at Metal Underground to premiere a Demo version of a new track entitled "Coalescing The Void". The track can be streamed atthis location.

The final version of "Coalescing The Void"will be on the band's upcoming as-yet-untitled debut full length album, due out in summer/fall 2016, but the guys decided to follow in the footsteps of their more established Northern California/Bay Area peers inMachine Head, in going back to the old school Bay Area Thrash approach of releasing a demo track ahead of an official album release.

Lead guitarist,Allen Burton, had the following to say about the new track and upcoming material: "'Coalescing the Void' is a track off our upcoming album that represents the next chapter of Symbolik. Our sound has changed a lot since our first release, and this is one of the songs that started that transition into what we've become today. We have always considered adding symphonic elements to our music, but we never really got to experiment with it until we started writing/recording new music. We decided to release a demo version of this song to give our extremely patient fans something to listen to that better represents what we are now. We truly hope that everyone enjoys what we've been working on, and we look forward to releasing the final product in the very near future!"

With the new album on the horizon, fans can expect to seeSymbolikhitting the stage again later this year. The band is already slated to take part in this year'sBay Area Death Fest 2016, a 2 day event taking place at the Oakland Metro in Oakland, CA and featuringOceano,Early Graves,Disentomb,Dehumanizedand more, with heavy hittersDisgorgeheadlining Day 1, and death metal legendsSuffocationheadlining Day 2. More information on the event can be found atthis location.

After a major mishap in 2013, losing an entire album's worth of material to a producer's hard drive crash,Symbolikstarted mostly from scratch and spent the last couple of years writing (or entirely revamping) new material for the album. The members have all since been busy with work and school, which has delayed this new album quite a bit, but they have been working on pre-production for new material since late 2015, as time and finances have allowed.

Symbolik's first official release, the 'Pathogenesis' EP, saw the light of day back in December 2011 as a digital download. Due to a demand for physical copies from fans, the band to move forward with pressing a limited run of CD's which have long since sold out and become sought after due to their limited availability. The 'Pathogenesis' EP can still be streamed or purchased as a digital download viaSymbolik's Official Bandcamp page,https://symbolik.bandcamp.com/releases. The band also recently released a new shirt design, a full color print with artwork from the one and only,Mark Cooper. The shirt can be purchased via the Bandcamp page as well, athttps://symbolik.bandcamp.com/merch/diverging-t-shirt.
