We continue to hand out rock 'n' roll gifts before the holidays, and as always with some of the artists that have been high up on the request lists from the audience. The ticket sales are fantastic. A record number of festival passes are gone, and there are under 300 day tickets left for Thursday, and the demand won't decrease when we add these names to the list already consisting of among others Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Sixx:A.M., Converge and Behemoth.

Swedish Ghost are back to haunt the fortress, after an incredible career development. The band that arose only just over five years ago, are now amongst the hottest and biggest names in the whole of rock. And now we're not only talking genre bands. Ghost have become THE band everyone are talking about, and after we last hostet Papa Emeritus and his Nameless Ghouls in our opening year 2014, they've exploded in popularity, and their new album Meloria is on top of all the lists, from sales lists, to audience and critics favourites, when 2015 is accounted for. Recently they were nominated to a Grammy in the U.S., and when an unanimously Tons of Rock audience almost demanded to see Ghost again, we didn't have an other choice than to deliver.

Rival Sons have become a household name, and as one of the hardest working bands in rock 'n' roll, they've worked their way from tiny clubs to major concert halls, and we're not afraid to predict them as the next great stadium rock band. If you like classic rock like Led Zeppelin, you like Rival Sons. And they're gonna deliver a rowdy packet when they finally come to Fredriksten Fortress and Tons of Rock.
MARK TREMONTI – JUST AS STRONG ON HIS OWN:
Tremonti might not be the biggest name up here so far, but if we say that mainman Mark Tremonti also has been the guitarist of Creed and Alter Bridge, we guess it shoud ring some christmas bells. De last years he's focused more and more on his solo project Tremonti, and with quite the success. Now we'll get Mark and company to Halden, and we're looking forward to it!
THE BIGGEST GATHERING OF ROCK STARS IN NORWAY EVER!
Needless to say, a gathering of big rock profiles such as this is never before seen on a Norwegian festival. On June 23-25 2016, you can run into Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Nikki Sixx, Alice Cooper, Dave Mustain, Papa Emeritus, and many more on Fredriksten Fortress. This is of course in addition to the smaller, but just as brilliant, artists they share stage with.
