Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: WRETCH; signed via Pure Steel Records, hailing from the United States of America - performing Power/Thrash Metal, on their 3^rd album entitled "The Hunt". (Released on February 24^th, 2017)

Since formation in 1984; the quintet in question have 2 albums behind them, I'm introduced to their 3^rd deliverance - "The Hunt". Power/Thrash Metal is an immense fusion; combining the riches of fast and furious riffs, and a powerful pummeling for an ear-splitting experience. WRETCH flourishes in lyrical themes of fate, post-apocalypse, damnation & war. Ranging at around 41:23; consisting of 11 tracks filled with destruction and fury, "Sturmbringer" opens up the record with an electrifying introduction...where the titular track comes in with an extraordinary distinctive from vocalist Juan Ricardo, he performs with an enormous - high-pitched incentive to scream with blood in his throat for as long as he possibly can, that was my first initial thought with the man...almost matching cord to cord with the Metal God - Rob Halford incredibly well. The length of this can last almost up to half a minute, which pleases me greatly.

"Throne Of Poseidon" showcases elegant and swift songwriting that's both memorable and original at the same time; formulated punch lines gave me a fist-pumping stimulation, and enlightening sound production from powerhouse Jeff Curenton on drums and Tim Frederick on bass - organically providing a complex aesthetic, and fulfillment with a succulent substance in which will contribute to the sub-genres flaringly.

"Twilight's End" is a 1:16 acoustic exert, dimming down the atmosphere for a little break in the air - while "The Final Stand" comprises of more of those addicting chorus' while implementing dexterous efficiency of riffs from Michael "Mjölnir" Stephenson & Nick Giannakos; both on lead/rhythm guitars, delivering exhilarating enthusiasm in their fretwork with great adroitness and velocity. "Fortune's Fool" has more intricately designed yet catchy elements showing off adaptively and flare while keeping the galloping intensity in check; even up to this point, the record has unique surprises in store that has wondrous effects and a constructed formulaic to give you that impressed reaction. "The King In Red" forms exquisite neo-classic moderations and more of those acoustic segues respectively...,which helps keeps things peculiar and not so similar. "Straight To Hell" has an abundance of soaring leads of impressively diverse Heavy Metal in the mix.

"The Hunt" is a varied production; valuing at unprecedented entertainment, and constructive execution for that unparalleled discovery. "Pierce The Veil" carries on the above aforementioned, yet still providing methodical arrangements, while trying not to be too differentially interchangeable. "Once In A Lifetime" is a prime example; where instead starts with a tasty drum lead instead of typical opening riffs.

And so concluding WRETCH's "The Hunt" with the final song "She Waits"; I am overall compelled to say that I enjoyed a delicately illuminate record that had distinguished characteristics to that of those (while good) of other records in which formulates progression and intricacy. If you are looking for Heavy Metal that stays true to the formula while combining proficient implementations, then look no further.<
