Wind Wraith - The Fortune Teller's Gaze album cover

Well, what do we have here? Let's see...
Another Heavy Metal band from the U.S.A. What kind of metal do they play in this album? What does their music sound like?
It is very simple to say actually. Wind Wraith play typical U.S. Power Metal and "The Fortune Teller's Gaze is the first album of this New York band with a second release due to follow soon enough.
But let's say a few things about their music. Well, another typical U.S. power metal band with good vocals, good compositions, good musicians, but...
They should try to find something to play on their own, or at least play something specific. What do I mean by that?
I mean that they have so many influences and they like to show that in their music, that when you listen to "The Fortune Teller's Gaze it's like listening to a compilation of many different bands!
Every song has it's own band influence and when I say influence I mean that it sounds like that song was played from that band which they where influenced by.
They have influences from Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson (especially from "Chemical Wedding), Jag Panzer, Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera and many other bands that it is quite boring to mention them all.
Although their songs are good and I think that if they wrote music "not some much influenced by everyone they could have released an interesting album.
I will expect their next album to see if I should continue listening to their music. They should try to use their imagination a little bit more.
If you are interested in every U.S. Power Metal album with influences like theirs you should then listen to this album as well. All the rest of you may find it a little bit boring after listening to it a couple of times.
