Metal maniacs, rejoice! The Thrasher returns to present to you: DESASTER; signed via Grom Records, on their tribute album - "We Worship Desaster" performing Thrash, Black and Death Metal in a 2CD compilation record performed by various artists who are fans of the quintet.

Having already reviewed DESASTER's latest album: "The Oath Of An Iron Ritual" which got a massive thumbs up from yours truly...I'm introduced to yet another unprecedented record that had me shocked at the extension of detail and complexity of the release in question... "We Worship Desaster" compiles 2CDs of tributes by various bands that pay homage to the quartet. It's sufficed to fuckin' say that if you're looking for an album worth your value; look no bloody further! Each band extensively cover their chosen songs with dexterity and compassion; I could feel an abundance amount of similarities from bands such as TOXIC HOLOCAUST's punky Thrash incentives, to an extremely solidified raw thrasher of a compilation. My personal problem is that; I don't think my body was ready to cover such extensiveness. However, from what I have listened to...it's quite evident that this album is one helluva bumpy ride!

32 tracks in total = 32 bands in one disastrous package. (Of course I say that in a good way) Is your body ready? Mine sure wasn't, but the Metal purist in me compelled me to spend my week extensively listening to "We Worship Desaster" now, I haven't listened to every DESASTER album...and all the bands covering this immense record are also unparalleled in my years as a Metal Head; it's quite clear that I need to expand my horizons! But from what I've experienced with the band in question; I can confidently say that they are a Black Metal band that deserve the attention. Disc 1 features 17 pummeling tracks that at first sounded a little bit off on the sound production practicality; I think that's for atmospheric purposes for the Black Metal aerosphere in the mix, which undoubtedly suits the balance. Disc 2 also features an extended 15 tracks that perfectly justifies any purchase for this here album.

Opening the album with the intro track: took from DESASTER's release "Live In Sebian Hell" recorded in Belgrade. Screamtroduction by Milan Rakic. Unified bands such as; KOLAC, GUERRA TOTAL, SLAUGHTERED PRIEST begin "We Worship Desaster" with cult classics such as "Crypts Of Deacul" off the debut album: "A Touch Of Medieval Darkness", "The Swords Shall Never Sink" off the EP: "Stormbringer", and "Metalized Blood" from the "Hellfire's Dominion" album... Right off the earphones I'm left with that introduction that leaves off a chilling atmosphere which sets the tone of which brutalizes one's spirit. VOLCANIC plays "Sworn To Avenge" from the album "Tyrants Of The Neverworld", BLOODTHIRST slays "Beasts Of Wrath And Victory" off the album "Divine Blasphemies" while BONEHUNTER pummels "Venomous Stench" off the album "Satan's Soldiers Syndicate".

So far...all bands play these excellent songs in their own way while keeping everything stellar and fresh - experimenting with an original interpretation, and yet...brutalizing in an uniquely unprecedented fashion. While I have not listened to the original songs for myself; I can wholeheartedly voice that all songs are guaranteed to pummel your beings. The sound production could be louder though if I was 100% brutally honest.

Far...Far from done. FATAL EMBRACE enter the fray with "Hellbangers" also from the album "Satan's Soldiers Syndicate", EXTIRPATION takes their turn with "Hellfire's Dominion" ...off the titular record. With SATANIKA effortlessly jamming "Symphony Of Vengence" in this soulfully destructive piece of art. While I am enjoying myself with these songs; I do believe the sound production does get a lot better, but after experiencing and experimenting it a lot more with more depth and concentration...all these covers identify with themselves and the bands certainly covered each chosen one with expertly illustrated supervision. INVOCACION next with "Spare No Coward" originally found on "Divine Blasphemies", TRIUMPHANT explores "Past...Present...Forever..." exploited on "Hellfire's Dominion" and TERRORHAMMER thrashes "Devil's Sword" unveiled on the "A Touch Of Medieval Darkness" record...

...Every song is a thrashing death production. You can equally tell the difference between each band's origin of sub-genre that they chose with how they differentiate with others; some are totally Thrash, others are mostly Blackened Death 'n' Thrash while some are just Black Metal. Of course, DESASTER is Blackened Thrash Metal. It's cool to note how all these bands worship their music and commend them their own ways. NOCTURNAL WITCH cover "Witchcraft" because of the title... see what I did there? Released via "Satan's Soldiers Syndicate". TIRANI pummel "And The Powers Above" unleashed on the Demo "The Fog Of Avalon" while THE MEADS OF ASPHODOL journey to the "Castleland" from the "Hellfire Dominion" record once again Finalizing this disc with SANCTIFIER on the song "Profanation" exploited on "The Arts Of Destruction" ...I'll be the first to admit that I'm already quite fatigued...

...A 2nd disc on this mighty collection is practically begging itself to be admired. With adequacy to deliver one of the most unique compilations ever released; adding 15 mores bands to indulge in. Featuring FUTHARK doing the song "Hell-Born", IN CORPORE MORTIS on "As The Deadworld Calls", SPEED COMMAND enters "Face Of Darkness", HELLOCAUSTOR thrashes "Teutonic Steel" while LUX DIVINA floor "In A Winter Battle" ...what I've come to realize is that while every band performs in their own, yet original way...there is a slight underwhelming presentation in the sound production; it's by no means awful, it's just a little too low for my liking - however, it certainly makes for nice presentation on the atmospheric side of things. WITCHBURNER constructs "Divine Blasphemies", NOCTURNAL valiantly perform "Tears Of An Old Wizard", HELLSWORD on "Alliance To The Powerthrone", WARHEAD on "Nekropolis Kartago".

As an evolutionist to expand my musical prowess, "We Worship Desaster" has to be one of the most complex reviews I've ever done. ...to be consistent with every band on this compilation just had to be done. In essence... If I were to be brutally honest; this would be a compilation worth buying if you want to expand your Black Metal interest. Bands such as INCINERADOR, DIRGES, ENOID, EVIL, SICULICIDIUM and bloody finally...GRAVES OF SAINTS end this grueling yet insightful Black Metal Tribute album to the fullest of extents. While I'm fatigued; I had a blast of a time headbanging and thrashing to this brilliantly constructed tribute to the unequalled DESASTER. While the couple nitpicks aren't a massive problem...you're still getting a mind blowing couple of discs worth exploring for your musical entertainment. Get this disastrous package at your own risk though; it's not for the faint of heart.<
