Ten Rail Cell - Microman - DEMO album cover

Though I never actually followed the Hardcore scene globally, I always knew that there were several acts of the genre alive and kicking in my country. Most of these bands seem to come from the North side  of Greece. Don't ask me why but at least I happen to know more bands of the genre coming from Volos or Thessaloniki for example rather than Athens.
Ten Rail Cell exists since 1999. Started off as a three piece outfit, they completed their lineup in 2001. So far they have released a self titled demo CD (Ten Rail Cell) and have performed a live show in Mylos Club, in Thessaloniki (hail!). Microman apparently is their second release. Unfortunately I haven't listened to their debut so I can't make any comparisons.
Microman contains four powerful compositions with very heavy guitars and a very tight rhythm section. The production could have been better but I can't really complain (well, maybe a bit thicker sound in the bass would have helped). I found the first song, called Neofight, to be quite groovey and same thing also happened with the third track, Microman. The demo comes in CDR and the band has done an excellent job in the artistic department. Maybe the front cover is too simple but the interior shows a great taste in what is art and what is not. I also noticed some cool pics on the band's homepage (take the time and check them out).
In conclusion, I found Microman a cool piece of work from a band that seems to have a future in the scene.
