What's up Metal maniacs? I'm here once again to give you an insight into this Hard Rock, Stoner quintet hailing from Sweden known as: SPIRITUAL BEGGARS, signed to Inside Out Music.

If you want to get into Stoner Rock, I'd suggest SPIRITUAL BEGGARS to you. This is a band that typically has that 'stoner' feel to it...but with an addition of an abundant amount of musical melodies and intriguing instrumental fusions that combine an amazing sound experience for any music fan. We have Michael Amott on the heavy guitars. Amott has a very good sound to his rhythms and techniques, which got me grooving pretty hard. On vocals we have Apollo Papathanasio who, when comes to mind, seems to have a wide range of brilliant vocal talent; sounding like a combination of Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde. And either my brain is going nuts, or this guy wanted to sound like his own version of every rocking celebrity currently alive on the map. Ludwig Witt on drums and Sharlee D'Angelo on the bass guitar have equally brilliantly powerful rhythms that just make this an utmost enjoyable super group.

The new album: "Sunrise to Sundown" is a perfect example of why SPIRITUAL BEGGARS are at the forefront of Stoner Rock; raising the benchmark of the genre's existence. This is a band that keeps the quintessential 70's Rock alive and kicking; while adding an amazing array of genres that evidently shows that this is a band for everyone. The music on this new album is simply enjoyable; whilst giving me an enjoyable kick out of it, it also surprised me, for - judging by the cover - I expected something that wouldn't tickle my fancy. I went in with low expectations but it just shows in the end that one should not judge a book by its cover until you try it for yourself. "Sunrise to Sundown" features two killer discs of material that old and new fans will most definitely approve of.

From the opening title track "Sunrise to Sundown" (which is just a fantastic introduction with really catchy vocals and instrumentals) I was already enjoying myself a bit too much...and to the finality of "Southern Star" (on disc 1), we have ourselves here an album that strives for groovy intentions that can only get better with every listen. Every song has surprising methods where the band wants to make sure that they make an almost perfect-sounding jam; great examples of why this album should deserve at least one listen are "Diamond Under Pressure", "What Doesn't Kill You", and "Hard Road", which provide catchy vocals and lyrics, memorable musical value, and just an outright enjoyable ride that will make you want more. And you get that with a second disc filled with 2 demos: "Thumbsucker" and "Stoned Woman", which just sounded absolutely stunning. The final few tracks included are Live from the Roadburn Festival from 2013; "Wise As A Serpent", "Turn The Tide", "Drum Intro/Dreamer", "One Man's Curse" and "Keyboard/Kingmaker" which end this brilliantly produced album in stunning fashion.

With this release, you get multiple editions. If you want the ultimate experience, definitely go for the Gatefold yellow LP+CD & Poster version - which is available via Inside Out Music right now - as well as the Gatefold dark green/black LP+CD & Poster, and also standard CD Jewelcase and a Ltd 2 CD Mediabook; whatever tickles your fancy. Support Rock/Metal music and check out this brilliant record for yourself. If you love your music catchy, memorable, fun, and just want a blast of a time, almost certainly check out "Sunrise to Sundown", it's most definitely an original belter.
