SOULHEALER is  Melodic Heavy Metal band from Kajaani, Finland formed in 2009. The band has released an EP "Dreamcatcher" in 2010, "The Kings Of Bullet Alley" in 2011, "Chasing The Dream" in 2013 and on 17^th October 2014 "Bear The Cross".

I like very much "Dead Man Walking" with heavier riffs which are similar to the style of DIO and the spirit of 80's Heavy Metal with IRON MAIDEN style of playing. Refrain with amazing choir singing together with vocalist - this is just a fantastic memorable track! Also working bass and melody guitars here are brilliant! Opening "Unleash The Beast" with fast drums and very melodic heavy guitars, deep and strong voice makes Power Metal climate in refrain with choir in style of HELLOWEEN or STRATOVARIUS. Amazing guitar solo! In this track also guys Pasi Laakkonen and Jani Nyman create unbelievably great atmospheres with an amazingly driving rhythmical section.

The voice of Jori Kärki appeals to me, whose singing is so pure that the listener can understand every lyric and another plus is that he sings with glorious melody. It is noted that he puts all of his heart into singing with impossible passion! Stronger riffs and powerful choir singing in the chorus of "The Journey Goes On" sounds just awesome! Love this perfection! Another good one is "Fall From Grace" with heavier and faster drums and guitars. What an energy in the chorus, complete with excellent riffs. Heavy Metal in an ACCEPT style is noticeable in powerful "The Viper's Kiss" where a raucous style of chorus is mixing with melodic sounds.

My favourite on this CD is "Blinded By The Light" where lower and melodic guitars are together with high class music which is really enjoyable. Jori's voice makes goosebumps in balsamic powerful singing and melodic choir in refrain is amazing! Titled track "Bear The Cross" has melodic guitars played by Sami Mikkonen and Teemu Kuosmanen and catchy choir refrain with clear and high singing. Fantastic working performance of guitars and memorable refrain make this song worth listening to! Calmer and catchy sounds are in "Thorns In My Heart" where you'll find a fine solo and choir consist. In last one track on album "Settle The Score" is amazing performance of guitars in Heavy Metal style.

Summing up, SOULHEALER creates excellent music & they prove that they can play fantastic, powerful Heavy Metal songs from the heart with incredible melody. They put inside this CD their experience. Just want to listen more & more these memorable sounds. Their lyrics and music could grab any metalhead's heart! Every track is short, around 3 minutes and every song is a potential hit! This album is more than worth a listen. Guys are drawing handfuls from the realms of Heavy Metal music. I'm sure that every fan of Heavy Metal with Hard Rock influences and a love of the 80's will love this CD. I think everyone will find something for itself on this album of Finnish Metallers! Surely SOULHEALER could to touch every metalhead's soul!<
