Eden Fire
Sonic Syndicate

Am I wrong or did I mention three Sjunnesson's in the lineup? This band looks like a family business or what? The other thing I noticed is the young of their age (guitarist Robin is 16 years old and Roger being the oldest one is only 22 years old)! How can these young people be so capable of making good music?
Sonic Syndicate have already released a Demo and two EPs - Fall From Heaven in 2003, Extinction and Black Lotus in 2003 / 2004 respectively. A lot of activity if you ask me (don't you people have a school to go to?). They have also played in many shows like 2000 Decibel Festival alongside Amon Amarth and Meshuggah. The addition of bassist/backup vocalist Karin has also ceased the band's previously shaky lineup and nothing stands now in their way.
The album is broken down into three segments, the Helix Reign - Chronicles Of A Broken Covenant section, the Extinction - A Sinwar Quadrilogy section, and the Black Lotus - The Shadow Flora section. Each segment has a continuous theme/concept throughout its tracks. In case you wonder what their music's all about, let me just say that bands like In Flames and Dark Tranquility would have attempted murder just to have some of the songs this young act has written. Melodic Death Metal, with nice keyboards and a dash of female vocals made my day.
All this is wrapped in an OUTSTANDING production! I will put this as simple as possible. Sonic Syndicate wipe off the map half the melodic Death Metal bands who already have big contracts with known labels. Check them out, immediately!
