Epiphany
Son Of Eric

SON OF ERIC is created from TOROK's lead vocalist Bryan Ericson, who decided that since TOROK haven't done much the last 15 years , it would be a refreshing move to create a project. Epiphany is the first album for S.O.E and Erickson thought that in order to make things happen for this creation he should invite great guitarists. Hence, among participants who gave a boost to this release, is Todd Duane, who was recently voted as the third fastest guitarist in the world.
So what is Epiphany about? In the whole album you will find influences from JIMMY HENDRIX, CREAM, RORY GALLAGHER, BLACK SABBATH. There is a couple of tracks, Lost And Never Found is one of them, that has the sleaze style of WHITESNAKE from the Ready And Willing era. Although the guitar arrangements and generally the sound bring back those past years, somehow they fuse it with modern style. Incapable of detecting where that modern element hides exactly, it is there though.
The production is so arranged as if they would record back in the beginning of 80s. The vocals are perfect for the style as they include the demanding hoarseness. Sounds interesting? I think that they deserve a go, if you at least have a connection with that era. Usually epiphanies happen rare and for a while, so let's hope that this project will go on.
