You Can't Spell 'Culture' Without 'Cult'

With a name like SLAUGHTER CAMP, you would expect a whole lot of horror with some thrash overtones, but this is more of electronic metal piece with all the samples and layers of vocals, guitar, and kooky sounds. This album is full of plenty of samples and electronic goodness, including a gem sample from Charlie Manson on "Evil Son". It's very punk in the fact that they are very short songs and that the Ep is only 16 minutes long. There is only one song longer than 3 minutes; you would almost think it was a punk album.
"Crucify" has the most cohesion and would be my favourit track on the release."That's Me" shows their MARILYN MANSON influences with the ghostly keyboard background and stabbing guitars. "Black Mass" is another example using the keyboards and SPOOKY KID's era MARILYN MANSON influences and shows their most brutal vocals. The whole album has lots of screaming type punk style vocals but "Black Mass" has the most growled vocals, which I personally enjoyed a lot more.
Two of the songs were released back in 2013 as singles. "Crucify" was released in September of 2013 and "Evil Son" being released on Halloween, October 31, which is quite appropriate due to its content.
The band have released the whole ep on Youtube in what they call a "You Can't Spell 'Culture' Without 'Cult'" bonus edition, which is quite cool to check out, as they have some mint visuals to accompany the music and some interesting footage featuring everything from Charlie Manson to Anton Lavey. I highly recommend checking out the video version, as it really makes the whole thing come together nicely.<
