Sinergy - Beware The Heavens album cover

Is this band still around? I remember Kimberly Goss stating that Sinergy is still active; then it was noted at the Nuclear Blast website that they are currently working in their fourth effort. Sins Of The Past will the new album's name be, but till then Nuclear Blast offers a deluxe edition of the Finnish act's debut album (in 1999) with various extras as  teaser. In brief:
Beware The Heavens came out in 1999; at that time female fronted Metal bands were not much of a trend. And if they were, the differentiation of Sinergy lied on the following three facts: a) Kimberly Goss has a Heavy Metal 'vibe' (with both wildness and emotion) in her voice, b) Alex Laiho's playing technique is surely classic Scandinavian Metal 'orientated' in this project/album, c) featured keyboards are in the background, letting frenzy guitars play the main role. Hence, future Nightwish (and the rest of the clan) fans did find the album quite 'heavy' for their likes while straightforward Metal fans seemed to suspicious to afford money for an album led by two members dealing in prior with the Extreme Metal field (Goss in Ancient, Dimmu Borgir, Therion and Laiho in Children Of Bodom). Still, don't know how much this album sold back then, even if that era's lineup also featured renowned musicians such as Jesper Stromblad (In Flames) and Sharlee D' Angelo (Mercyful Fate, Arch Enemy, Witchery).
Beware The Heavens - in it's original issue - boasted nine tunes of Heavy Metal music the Scandinavian way, enriched by appropriate keyboards and the passionate voice of Kimberly. Tracks like the same-titled cut plus Venomous Vixens and Virtual Future are real killers while emotional cuts include Born Unto Fire And Passion and Razor Blade Salvation. Apart from the original tracklist, in this deluxe issue there are some more goodies: i) three interesting cover versions Sinergy have so far donated for respective band tribute albums for Accept, Scorpions and Abba, ii) the video clip for Midnight Madness, a tune originally featured in the band's sophomore release To Hell And Back (Spinefarm, 2001). A good 'extra' set, I must say.
Waiting for the new album by this intelligent lady - rather curious to see how much of an impact Sinergy's sound can have among the countless Goth-like female-fronted bands - Beware The Heavens new deluxe edition is a good purchase.
