Wow, more shotgun logic from a respectively well-working company. Lion Music presents the sequel of the Shawn Lane Remembered, an album for all the instrumental music lovers.
Unfortunately the master class guitar giant Shawn Lane is no longer with us since September 26 of 2003. Now he's flying towards the eternal light. But he left us all his masterpieces. Power Of Ten! Live (2001), The Tri-Tone Fascination (1999) and Power Of Ten (1992). Also for the guitar freaks he has two video lessons; A: Power Licks and B: Power Solos.
This album from Lion Music covers a variety of music styles based on the guitar. So, we have some well known guitar players giving their point of view on Lane's world through them. By listening to the album we come across tracks that are really within Metal borders and can make your head bang all along. We have a very strange approach done by Alex Masi in his track. We know Alex and his solo career from 80s and I'm still singing the chorus of Daybreak. And yes he had a duet with Allan Holdsworth in his solo album Attack Of The Neon Shark. A very good job from Mistheria with a wonderful piece of art. Double Heart Project touches the world of fusion reminding me of a simpler style  of Gambale. Of course the album does have its bad side too. I didn't like some of the guitarists' sounds and the production was very poor. But we're speaking here about very respective axe players like this guy Patrik Carlsson; what an amazing player he is. I'm heading for my Les Paul to try and catch up with any of his solos (no way boy!).
Well if you are a listener of instrumental music and you are into Jason Baker,Paul Gilbert,Richie Kotzen and Tony Macalpine then this will blow you away. So relax and enjoy the 76 minutes of music. Thank you Shawn Lane for all the inspiration.
