I came across this band some time ago and I had the chance to listen to their demo CD. Several months later, their demo arrives at the Metal Temple headquarters and of course I wouldn't miss the chance to review it. When I open its case, it is like I smell the underground. Ahhh, this rotten scent!

RAW IN SECT is a Greek Death Metal band that has been alive for not more than two years. Formed in 2005, they have only managed to play some live performances in Greece and release this demo CD, which is given for free (you can also visit ZShare to download it).

RAW IN SECT can be described as one of the hottest newcomers of the Greek Death Metal scene. Their music, which is heavily influenced by bands such as DEATH, AUTOPSY, ATHEIST and SADUS, is based on their incredible technique, which is of course followed by an incredible composing talent! Despite their young age and the fact that this is their first release, RAW IN SECT are not afraid to show that technical Death Metal requires big balls and a sense of brutality to be played! Their Chemical Exposure era SADUS influences kicked the living shit out of me and their out-of-this-world melodies are fantastic! The rhythm section is more solid than a rock and the guitar cut like a razor! Kostas' growling is deep, sick and twisted and adds the finishing touch the tracks need! The production could be a lot better, but it is not so bad in order to spoil your good Death Metal mood!

I can't say many things just by three songs, but as I know, the band is getting ready for its first full-length release! I will just look forward for the band's debut album and try to see them performing live! Contact the band or download the demo and listen to it! It won't cost you anything!
