ONKEL TOM is Metal band from Germany founded by Tom Angelripper of German Thrash Metal band SODOM. They have realesed many albums,  and the lastest one, „H.E.L.D."(an acronym for Hart-Ehrlich-Laut-Durstig [hard-honest-loud-thirsty]) is a remarkable recording with which Tom Angelripper & Co. celebrate life. The album will be available on 19 September this year.

Catchy riffs ring out in Heavy Metal style in "Prolligkeit Ist Keine Schande" with fast drums, nice hoarse vocals of the singer, and a fabulous melodic choir by band in the chorus make this is very memorable. Mega killer track "Ein Bisschen Alkohol" has little Folk Metal influences and energetic stadium choir in refrain! Powerful sounds in "Was Euch Nicht Passt" brings to mind a little bit, the climate of KORPIKLAANI. In "Wer Nach Dem Lied Noch Stehen Kann", the band plays many sounds with similarity to Punk Rock bands. Which is really nice. So catchy is also the song "Im Suff", with quite the melodic chorus in stadium climate.

We enter a calmer climate in "Am Morgen Danach". The vocals remind me of BOSHE ONKELZ with choir in Valhalla climate. Heaviness mixed with unbelievable melody is in "Der Duft Von Lavendel". Wonderful ballad "Ich Bin Noch Am Leben" with gentle acoustic guitar and singing hoarse vocalist in deep style is perfect as the last song of the album. Totally different is melodic track "Der Onkel Kommt Zum Hausbesuch" with Punk echoes and big dose of energy!

I sincerely recommend this new album from the German Metallers to everyone who is interested in mixed Heavy Metal, Punk and melodic stadium choirs. The guys from ONKEL TOM make this connection on a very good level with tons of melody. Production of the album is very good, and it makes this album enjoyable during listening. Guys are talented and in their songs you can hear and feel the great energy flowing from the music. Generally, the music is very happy and easy to listen to.
