What if I told you Argentinians ain't just beautiful women and football? If you were stereotypical about them, after listening to LUTHERO you shall regret you nasty thought. I also will be honest and say,I wasn't expecting this, man,my first expression after listening to "Palabras Amargas" was "damn riffs". We all know what Death Metal is, and no, I am not talking about CANNIBAL CORPSE nor VADER, let's be open-minded people; there are plenty other bands kicking arse in this genre and LUTHERO definitely is one of them.
The whole EP has a simple yet effective message which you cannot understand after one listening. It took me 3 times to elaborate details of "Palabras Amargas", didn't mind spending my time at all. It starts simply, with an "Intro", a few second of introduction in an instrumental form, within which you can start to crave for more. Then, the fun starts instantly and it's named "Palabras Amargas", deep and harsh vocals of Oliver combined with acoustic riffs make you hate entire human kind and yet feel sorry for all of us sinners.
You know, that one song that takes a great amount of your time to prod at your inner emotions with a huge mug of the blackest coffee you can make sitting somewhere alone and just thinking 'What the heck is wrong with this world". A huge plus guys, the finest one. "Dolor Terminal" - pretty much an ordinary Death Metal song, a variation of slow tempo with a sign of fast riffs and deep growls. Can't lie and say it's something amazing and must-hear, but it can embrace you soon enough.
At first listen,"Aliados" may seem the exact same copy of the previous track, but wait for it, just wait; every new second brings a new feeling, and after a while, the solo bumps in and damn brother, just damn.
I was so happy to hear it finally,it was like I was expecting the part of skilled guitarist all the time. The combo, mixture of the guitars and vocal is just amazing and mark my words,Will Blast You,but, there's always one but, the drumming part on this makes you feel undone in few aspects.
If we look at the "Palabras Amargas" length, it is an EP of 3 songs, (not counting the ''Intro''),that kind of disappointed me,I was hoping for more action. The EP in whole gives you an ease of Death Metal, with vast of ups and downs, feeds that internal angry person within your mind and soul with pleasure and hate. I hope the upcoming albums will be done in English language, because I would appreciate reading lyrics and getting the bigger image of the story behind.
