Lee Small - Jamaica Inn album cover

Indeed a quite enjoyable and smart classic British Hard Rock album...By ex-NATIVE CAIN/CLOVEN HOOF/PHENOMENA/SURVEILLANCE/OMEGA/SHY's vocalist...without the intention to reinvent the wheel, he paid just his dues to his vintage classic Rock influences of FREE/URIAH HEEP/DEEP PURPLE/BAD COMPANY...

He also takes the opposite way to his first solo work, the yet excellent but darker and much heavier "Through The Eyes Of Robert Lees" released in 2008...The vocal similarities with Glenn Hughes (TRAPEZE/DEEP PURPLE/HUGHES & THRALLHTP/B.C.C.) are more than manifest. I'll take this as a very good point and an excellent prediction for Small's future career...

Effectively produced/mixed by Swedish Guitar player Martin Kronlund (DOGFACE/GYPSY ROSE/SALUTE/WHITE WOLF etc...) and played by accomplished musicians, among them Imre Daun who had played with Swedish AOR band DON PATROL and also a batch of good & recommended CD as UNION MAC/SALUTE/OVERLAND /PHENOMENA etc...Anyway this album it's the perfect fix for your vintage Hard Rock deficiency.
