Krigere Wolf - Eternal Holocaust album cover

In the depths of underground, Death/Black Metal in the old format still exists, and unlike the popular ways that were promoted since the end of the 90's by many names, it's aggressive and crude as in the past, renouncing the modern impact and commercial success. But it doesn't mean that bands in this way aren't good, and the Sicilian wolf duo called KRIGERE WOLF is in this way, storming the years of all with their latest work, the EP "Eternal Holocaust".

Having the helping hands of Gabriele Catania and Valerio Cimino on the vocals, the band is unleashing a violent Death/Black Metal earthquake that can shatters your years. It's truly aggressive and fast, but the Old School approach that the band bears is amazingly catchy, and their music can seduce the listener without a second hearing. The musical arrangements, tempos, contrasts between grunts and shrieked voices, and everything else are perfect, creating a massive and chaotic form of music, but filled with darkened melodies. In a comparison, they're far from BEHEMOTH's ways, and in a way influenced by DISSECTION and MARDUK, but with an apocalyptic ambiance.

Giacomo Iannaci recorded and mixed "Eternal Holocaust", creating something that sounds crude and aggressive, but always with a very good level of clarity, because the listeners want and need to understand what they create and play. And it's excellent in the way it is. "Eternal Holocaust" and "Blasphemous Chaos Magnificence" are fast songs, but bearing very good melodies and rhythmic diversity, along killing guitar riffs; Even being fast and furious, "Mystic Genocide" bear a melancholic feeling (and bears fine contrasts between vocals tunes), and "Vision of Death" is not as faster, but very good and filled with that dark melodic ambiance that will hook the listener. And closing the EP, a great homage to DISSECTION with their personal and crude version for "Night's Blood" (it's an amazing version, indeed).

KRIGERE WOLF is really a very good name, and "Eternal Holocaust" is a fine option for those that are tired and bored with the modern Death/Black Metal.
