It was about time! I have been watching this band since its very first steps in the Metal scene and I have been a huge fan of their music. The Greek Death/Thrash and everything else you can imagine are back with their brand new masterpiece and we just have to accept that they are the best thing Greece has produced the last years. All hail the new blood!

The Athenian metallers were formed back in 2002 and have released a promo CD in 2003 and their debut album The Chains That Bind Us in 2004, which was issued through the Greek Sleaszy Rider Records. The band was not happy with the conditions in their label and decided to break free and look for someone who would trust them and give them what they need...

Thus, they ended up signing a contract with the Greek Burning Star Records, the label that released their sophomore masterpiece! The band's members are surely not amateurs in the Metal scene since they have played in bands like ACID DEATH, BRAINFADE, WISDOM and EQUAL VECTOR. They examined their debut album, they realized what was not so good and they just decided to make it better this time. Corrosion is an album that will amaze you with its professional and incredible work that has been done on every aspect (music, production etc).

The guitar work that Manolis and Stavros have created is something out of this world, since the evil twins have mixed everything you can imagine throwing doses of Thrash, Black, Death and Power Metal straight in your face. Of course, nothing of this would be possible without the help of the band's incredible drummer, Kostas. This guy has really kicked the shit out of the drum kit with his incredibly clever playing and great technique. He really knows how to make you bang your head with relentless outbreaks filled with double bass and blasts, or fucking awesome breaks with catchy riffing and groovy drumming.

The addition of the two new members (Vaggelis & Margarita) has given KINETIC the chance to explore new musical paths, that they didn't have the ability to explore in their debut album. Margarita gives a more melodic tone to the tracks, while Vaggelis is creating an evil atmosphere with his haunted keyboard melodies. He also delivers some Prog melodies, which definitely make the whole album sound much more interesting.

So, KINETIC have managed to create an album that perfectly mixes bands like ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, KREATOR, SADUS and NEVERMORE. The band is definitely one of the best (if not the best) things that Greece has to offer to the Metal scene and I am damn sure that if someone gives them the help and the promotion they deserve, the band will definitely manage to achieve many things. My advice is that you have to give a chance to this album and see for yourselves. Check it out!
