Kimi Karki - The Bone Of My Bones album cover

Kimi Kärki is a Finnish guitarist, singer and historian that play with several bands of different genres including LORD VICAR, ORNE, UHRIJUHLA and many others. "The Bone Of My Bones" is his debut solo album that and it's actually devoid of any Metal whatsoever. So, if you're looking for breakneck riffs and guttural vocals, this stuff is not for you.

The record consists of seven short acoustic songs, except for the last track which is approximately nine minutes long. The whole thing is roughly thirty-six minutes. However, the material is still quite captivating and enjoyable. All you get is acoustic guitars, subtle keyboards, and Kärki's mellow, calming vocals, all entwining and creating a great blend of a typically-Nordic folk sound with an ambient/experimental vibe. The overall atmosphere is indeed very soothing and serene, making the album a sort of a unique experience and makes great background music as well.

Although nothing about "The Bone Of My Bones" has anything to do with any subgenre of Metal, the album is certainly a beautiful piece of acoustic Folk music with an amazing calming ambiance.
