In the most humble works, you really can find some astonish music, that's a fact. In these days we are living, the bands are looking more and more for a better sound quality, an astonishing art for the cover of their albums. These things are all important, but not the most important thing, that is: personality.

Yes, since BLACK SABBATH rose on the beginning of the 70s, the most important thing on making a Heavy Metal work is to have a soul on it. And a soul must be unique, and this allows the bands to create something that only that band can do. Even now, when Dolly clones arise from underground, we still can find some bands with personality, as the Greek Black Metal duo called ISORLET that comes with their first work, the Demo CD "Isolated Soul".

Black Metal in the harsher and traditional way is what we hear on this 3 tracks EP, showing a sinister and somber music, done in the vein of something from the most darkened and slow way from Norway and Greece scenes, even having some more aggressive and fast moments. It's a hybrid in musical terms, with very good harsh and shrieked voices, fine riffs, and good rhythmic session. Of course, they are pretty new in age as a band, but show that have a very good future waiting for them.

The sound production is, as you can expect, raw. But to a band in this style, and considering that this is a Demo CD, we have to understand that this is what they can do for now, for it's an independent work. But don't get the wrong idea: it's raw, not incomprehensible.

On this Demo, three good songs are presented: "Secretum", darkened and extremely heavy, having some great riffs; "Empty Memory (Hate For Mankind)", with some pretty fast moments, where we hear another one with very good guitar work, but along drums; and the somber "Isolated Soul", their finest song. Of course you can feel some influences from IMMORTAL's "Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism" or ANCIENT from "Svartalvheim" era, but they have personality, even on such earlier stage of their career.

A good band, that can become great in the future.
