Indestructible Noise Command - Heaven Sent...Hellbound album cover

It took them long enough to saddle up for a comeback. It took two decades to be exact but who cares, they active once again. Along the swarm of reunited Thrash Metal groups from the late 80s, I.N.C. or in full, INDESTRUCTIBLE NOISE COMMAND, last year joined the wave along with two new members. Same as the older groups, the band's Thrash direction went through some adjustments in order to get attached to the timeline. Their new album, "Heaven Sent... Hellbound", via Rising Records, shared many similarities to the latest words from EXODUS and HEATHEN, which means San Francisco moshpit in your face, violent and untamed.

The band' last studio album, "The Visitor", that went back to 1988, made me imagine a rougher edge of ANTHRAX's "Among The Living" and "State Of Euphoria". For me the album's ultimate track "What Are You Looking At?" is a pure Thrash skull breaker. In the present, judging by this album, I.N.C. isn't too New Yorkish, as Dennis Gergely sounds more like Phil Anselmo, but rather more in the line of the Bay Area Thrash machine that means intensified, heavier and tougher musical piece of aggression. Nonetheless, I still recognized a portion of the band's black humor, cynicism and themes al'a SACRED REICH among several of the tracks like "If I Were President", "Fist Of Fascista" and "The Good Bones Stays Down" meaning the old beast is still there breathing.Furthermore, even with the progress of Bay Area Thrash over the years towards the grits of the groovy stuff, I.N.C. seemed to have remained an old school band in their orientation.

On the other hand, I don't think that "Heaven Sent...Hellbound" came to close proximity as some of the great new albums of EXODUS or HEATHEN. I.N.C., though being on a rather long break from writing and playing together, still gained the impression of that young band that laid down the law. However, from the likes of this here album I could only infer that more or less, I.N.C. went on with the current flow thus creating a release that is pretty much the same many others. Of course that they created several hits out of it like "God Loves Violence", "Full Metal Jacket", "Fueled By Regret", "Bleed The Line" and "Fist Of Fascista" that thrashed hard with no mercy following the ample sound production of Fredrik Nordstrom, but in overall, I felt like "Heaven Sent...Hellbound" is a pretty common, though good, Thrash album.

Two decades can cause some serious changes. When it came to I.N.C., changes were positively made in order to link themselves up to the new decade of the new millennium. Though I object to the procedure made by many bands, there are some good outcomes that were made to be quite inspiring. I may think that "Heaven Sent...Hellbound" is an ordinary group but it is still strong with a lot of attitude. I suggest that you browse it.
