Human Factor? METAL CHURCH. Unchained? VAN HALEN. Conclusion? Can't explain. The CD cover artwork is not that helpful, either (or the lineup members' names). The anticipation grows higher. Let's insert the CD and listen to the product itself.
Chile? Wow...I love listening albums from bands located in 'obscure' countries. Don't forget some (not many) of them have achieved international success in our days. HUMAN FACTOR released their Unleashed album in 2004 in South America. And - as I had the chance to read about in the Net - the music journalists down there gave a huge thumbs up! to the quintet, resulting in a necessary distribution to the European market, too (even if two years later). Four years of Metal living and HUMAN FACTOR seem rather too educated to deliver well-played 'polished' Heavy/Power/Speed Metal. The guitar duo of Soledad Genua (ladies rock!) and Guillermo Olivares is rather bonded, plus they perform some rather difficult playing still being accurate and serious. Most of the tracklist is based on high speed, thus the rhythm section is maniac and non-stop (but rather efficient-less at times). The same goes for Dan Elbelman, bearing an excellent voice but sounding too high-pitched in general, even if many songs' parts do not necessarily require such a performance. As for the band's style, you get a portion of ANGRA, some of VICIOUS RUMORS or (theatrical) JAG PANZER, the 'scratch' of DESTINY'S END plus the teutonism of GAMMA RAY and I hope I was a little bit of helpful, since...
...HUMAN FACTOR seem to embody enough different Metal sub-genres into their music. And this is surely a good thingie. But, they should rather give a lot of more work in their 'personal' songwriting - under these influences - plus the vocals (in my opinion) would be more nice if more down-to-earth (to adjust to the 'plastic' but good production, too).Overall, a not bad album (not at all, listening to the guitars work again).
P.S.: The CD comes with a bonus (good!) video clip of the song Human Factor.
