After a production time of more than two years, german vocalist Hubi Meisel, present his long-awaited concept album Kailash. Hubi's latest project was the excellent EmOcean, a progressive album with a Hard Rock vein.
This time the story is all about the Himalayas, Tibet and ancient Buddhists/Hindu mythology and describes a man's adventurous journey across the icy heights of the Himalayas up to the legendary holy Mount Kailash. Joining him on this journey are: Vivien Lalu (Lalu) on keyboards, Marcel Coenen (Sun Caged) and Jorge Sal?n (Mago de Oz) on guitars, Daniel Flores (Mind's Eye) on drums alongside Johan Niemann (Therion) on bass. The new lineup comprises international top-class musicians from five different countries. This band in some ways sounds like Rush, and Hubi's voice reminds a lot of James Labrie (Dream Theater).
All the music and arrangements are operated by Vivien Lalu, who was responsible for composing an instrumental base for the songs according to Hubi's concept and direction. Brilliant rhythm section by Niemann and Flores and an excellent production edited by Hubi himself.
Kailash is also available in special Digipack edition, with two bonus tracks, The Gentleman Of Great Magic and Tigers Of Everest, with 16 pages of an illustrated booklet.
