Imagine yourself riding a Harley Davidson and your hair is flying backwards because of the strong winds. Keep holding that thought and while doing so try to think what would be more fitting than a combination between AC/DC and ROSE TATTOO? I hope that might conjure that HARDBONE is the right answer. Because it is!
Straight out of Germany, this sleazy Hard Rockband came with their debut release, "Dirty N' Young"via Remedy Records. Just take a look at their awesome album artwork that shows five drunken rockers in a Mustang checking out a hot chick and you would understand that you are going to roll into a Rock N' Roll steep descent as their song "Rock n' Roll River" commands.
As soon as you play their opening track, "Booze, Blood, Blackout", you will feel their rough attitude with a big time chorus that sounds like an army ready to go on the attack with a Rock N' Roll weapon. Furthermore, there are a lot of anthems like choruses on the album, you can find it on "I Sold My Soul" and that same thing was with the nice relaxing opening of the track "Devil's Bitch". Don't get it wrong, these guys will kill you with their mind-blowing guitar playing and sawlike singing.
"Dirty N' Young" is one of their best offers, built as well while progressively leveling up its stronger features. I think that will surely stumble into a headache from banging your head to "Walking Talking Sexmachine" as this song will drive you to make some noise and air guitar as well. "Unlocked N' Loaded" is a good way to close an album, strong track and heavy as hell.
The incredible work of the producer Arne Lakenmacher will give you the feeling that HARDBONE wanted to sound tight, with powerful guitar riffs and chords along with rough edged vocals of Dammann. With such a great sound, I can't see how you will not be staying complacent.
It has been over forty years since AC/DC started rocking on stage with their special Hard Rock style and now HARDBONE is showing that Hard Rock lives and will survive for more than a decade. I can definitely can place HARDBONE beside BULLET & AIRBONE in the same line. This bone is here to stay.
