This band managed to make a negative impression on me from the very first time, by claiming to play something that it actually isn't playing. Anyway, I will explain the reasons below. The Dutch metallers release their sophomore full-length effort through the also Dutch Deity Down Records, and I can't say that I was amazed by their work.

When you see a band claiming to play Dutch Death Metal, the only thing that comes in mind are bands like THANATOS, PESTILENCE, ASPHYX or any other heavy as fuck Dutch Death Metal band, not a kind of cheap melodic Death Metal with weak production. I am sorry guys, but this album is not even a good melodic Death Metal one. Unfortunately, Battle Order is not catchy, it isn't polished, it hasn't got any guitar leads that make the difference or anything else that could attract the listener.

Even though melodic Death Metal is a genre that is suffocating from the bands that are popping out here and there all the time, we don't even hear some decent stuff. ESCUTCHEON need to try harder in order to amaze us. I still try to listen to the album, yet I find nothing that will make me press the repeat button.
