Entropia Utopia - Weirdom album cover

Impressive and hard to be pin-pointed is the music of ENTROPIA UTOPIA. Sometimes a now simply says it all. And indeed the band's name is quite representative of their music. This is one of the few times a band caught me off guard and stunned me with its music.
So what are these guys all about? Hmm well their music is technical (progressive one may say - though progressive metal is soooo overrated), atmospheric, filled with folk elements (hey there's flute in here). Fore some reason ENTROPIA UTOPIA brings in mind the abstract conception behind the genius minds of PSYCHOTIC WALTZ. No kidding guys - this act really crafts a distinct sound from point zero and so on. Their metal base is heavily distorted with dreamy melodies and keyboards while the distinct Greek vocals of Stamatis Pratsinakis might not be the most suitable for the occasion but there are times where they just sound right for the whole pandemonium.
In conclusion this is a really interesting work and a sweet surprise for the fans of avant-garde music. Check them out.
