Just a few months ago I had the opportunity to review EGONAUT's second EP "Circus Egonaut". And now, their third one is out and me again at the reviewer's seat. Since I really enjoyed their previous one, I had no complaints in order to listen to "N-Pire" and write a few words about it.

"N-Pire" is continuing from the point that "Circus Egonaut" stopped. "Trust"'s first riff is powerful and fits like a glove to the previous EP and the sound of the band in general. The organ gives again that extra something. "Vengeance" is a song with simple structure and the same pace as the first one. "On The Prowl", my favorite song in this EP, is dropping down the speed and is (in my opinion) a perfect sing-along song at a gig. Who said that a song should be complicated in order to big a good one? Last but not least, it's "123 Hate", another mid tempo song with the tendency to go a bit faster. It follows the same recipe as the two first ones. The small 'battle' between the guitar and the organ in the middle of the song and the slow solo part that follows are the two things that fill the track and don't make it boring.

EGONAUT are not playing anything new. But, as their pervious EP, "N-Pire" is full of energy and nice old-school Rock with some well hidden Punk elements. In my humble opinion, it is half step down from "Circus Egonaut" but that doesn't make it bad. On the contrary, this is an EP that (if you liked the other two) you'll definitely enjoy. You can download "N-Pire" from their official site for free.
