Eden Seed - Age of Creation album cover

Here in Brazil, there are excellent bands that aren't received as they should be, due to the lack of a better educational system, and what explains the hatred that permeates the Metal scene for other people's options. If you're a religious adept of every kind of faith, here the idiots start to complain and piss others subjects off with their words. I'm old enough to understand and respect any expression of others, and to enjoy music and leave the musicians' lives apart. So when I heard EDEN SEED's first album, "Age of Creation", the first thing that called my attention is how they are pretty good.

I know the band for a time, so I could witness how they evolved into a modern outfit of Traditional Heavy Metal with some influences from Thrash Metal and Death Metal (and some bits of Brazilian popular music as well). Yes, they are extremely creative, and they know how to hold our attentions to their musical work due their melodies (that are easy to understand and assimilate), and let me tell you: besides all the musicians shows a very good technical level, the guitars are excellent, showing excellent technique in a way that reminds the same style of guitar heroes like Randy Rhoads. It's creative, aggressive and heavy, but with an eclectic vision.

The sound production was done by Gisele Marie Rocha and Matheus Manette, the founding members of the band. They did a pretty good job, keeping the musical instruments clear and heavy at the same time, allowing us all to understand what they are playing without problems. It is really a good work, although it could be better (the band deserves it).

Musically, EDEN SEED has a lot of to offer, and can be pointed as one of the most creative bands from Brazilian Metal scene at this moment. The sharp and aggressive guitars shown on the heavy song "Return", the classical Hard'n'Heavy influences that permeates "Night Rider" (excellent work on bass guitar and drums), the Industrial Rock experimentalisms shown on "Between Life and Death", the essential Blues/Rock touches heard on the bitter tempos of "Disturbing the Silence" (a song where the vocals are showing a very good work, indeed), the beautiful melodies of "Peace Be With You" (this song should be played out loud by every Metalhead due its tender message, in a moment when hatred is devouring men's hearts), the heavy Rock in the vein of the 80's shown on "Rocking All Night Long", the modern and oppressive brutality of "No Violence", and the excellent "Romaria", and old Brazilian traditional song that gained a heavy and bitter version on the band's hands.

A great band that is rising now, and let me be honest: if you care about Gisele's religion (she is the guitar player), for she is Muslin, I must tell you to go to a doctor, for you need something for hatred.

"Age of Creation" is an excellent album, indeed.
