De Lirium's Order

Even though I love brutal Death/Thrash Metal, I have been bored of reviewing Finnish bands that belong to the specific genre. First it was DEATHCHAIN, then it was DEATHBOUND's turn and now it is DE LIRIUM'S ORDER that pay me a visit for one more Death/Thrash review. Let's see what Finland has to say regarding pure brutality this time.
Finnish death/thrashers DE LIRIUM'S ORDER were formed back in 1998 and have changed three singers until now. The band once featured DEATHCHAIN's Corpse on vocals, as well as Tuomas Lintulaasko (RIP), who was stabbed to death in Helsinki on April 15th, 2005. Anyway, the band left its previous label Woodcut to sign with Shadow World Records and release its third full-length album.
The band's music is brutal Death/Thrash Metal with a slight preference towards to rotten Death Metal side. Infection's (HORNA) vocals are incredibly brutal (guttural) and he makes the whole thing sound a bit more Grind. The tempo is mostly up-tempo with blasts and double bass drumming tearing the place apart. The album's lyrical concept is based upon a psychotic killer. The listener is dragged into the killer's insane world making Diagnosis look more like a movie than an album. Even though the music is balancing between mediocrity and just good, the lyrics save the day by creating a really cool atmosphere that doesn't let you get bored.
All in all, this album is nothing amazing. The music is a bit common and there is nothing that will make you press the repeat button more than one time. Even the CARCASS cover won't make you find this album more interesting. I can describe it as a classic album that I suggest only to fans of the specific kind of music. The rest of you should search for something else.
