Day Eleven - Sleepwalkers album cover

Dockyard 1 releases usually have something to say. Unfortunately, DAY ELEVEN and Sleepwalker can be judged as an exception to the rule. I hardly tried not to fall asleep to the band's 'low vibe' sounds, a mix of post-Metal and extended-Alternative/Grunge music that - logically - will be rather poor for your Hard 'n' Heavy needs.
The band hails from Finland (Tampere) and has been 'active' for more than 4-5 years. The first offering was entitled Almost Over Everything while Sleepwalkers was recorded in early 2007 and already seems to have some good portion of recognition in Finland. That, however, does not have something to say - Finnish people adore moody stuff while the rest of the world would like it to be (at least) 'heavy' - and even if Dockyard 1 decided to ink deal for the circulation of this sophomore effort...
...there's not much to say in defense. As the Whenever You Say You Love Me single sounds, this is the whole case. A mix of 'fuzzy' H.I.M., 'weak' PARADISE LOST, 'grey' EVANESCENCE, abnormal TYPE O NEGATIVE  and...you got the idea. Need more? I wonder why this band is considered - read it somewhere - as a Prog Rock band. Huh...
