Celestial Asylum - Cosmic Creation - Demo album cover

Celestial Asylum is a Turkish band formed back in 1998 and this is their 1st  recording so far. Their main influences are Stratovarius (mainly in vocals), Rhapsody and Symphony X in their keyboard parts and rhythm. So, Prog/Power is the case here and these guys seem to have studied well the sound's nature, and show up really promising and capable.
The sound is satisfying, for a demo, so every detail of their music can be distinguished with accuracy. And that's really necessary for bands into such complex styles if they seek distinction. Apart from the sound, the compositions also stand in good level. Surely, they aren't that solid; besides this is their 1st try, but any listener can pick out some very good ideas that lurk inside them. One thing I also enjoyed is their keyboards. Evren does a very good job, reminding me moments from bands such as Rhapsody, Royal Hunt and Symphony X.
Generally, in this demo keyboards and guitars seem to dominate the show and that's very encouraging if we think of how much this genre is based in these instruments. Celestial Asylum are qualified players and the most important thing is that they don't box their music and talent into a certain playing style. For example, Sumeria, Realm Of The Gods is very nice ballad with acoustic guitars that reminds me of Blind Guardian's Bard Song - In The Forest atmosphere, while Annunaki Rebellion is close to Symphony X's The Divine Wings Of Tragedy (1996) and The Damnation Game (1995) albums.
A very good 1st step by Celestial Asylum, who I strongly believe that will offer us some great stuff in the future. As a personal advice to them, I think it would be better to abort any Euro-power elements (like the drum rhythm sometimes) which could lead them to their so promising sound's planation. Keep up the hard work guys, the future lies within your hands!
